Nisha Rao has always supportted  charities.

Spiritual, humanitarian and community and interfaith causes have very much attracted her attention and Nisha has given her time for both mainstream organisations of the state and ethnic organisations. 

 Brisvaani Aid Foundation , Fred  Hallow’s foundation work with cataract operations in Fiji, Fiji Hindi Speaking Church fellowship, Hindu Mandir Association of Qld, Ramayan Mandali  and Brisbane Yoga Centre, were some of the organisations that requested her to assist in the past. In more recent times, Nisha assisted with raising funds for a temple in Sydney, through a musical programme organised by Sounds of bollywood- brisbane,
